Network Traffic
This page records network traffic in TCM. It currently works only if you are on the University network. This may improve in the future.

Note that the graphs are of rates averaged over five minute intervals. Note that the TCM graphs below use a "log" scale on the y axis.

Method
Hardware counters record total traffic volume on each switch port. These are read every five minutes. Transfer rates have little meaning without averaging over a time period, for a single packet will always be emitted at the line speed of around 125MB/s. The counters record the overhead of TCP and ethernet headers.
