The CDT in Computational Methods for Materials Science

TCM enjoys close links to Cambridge's Centre for Doctoral Training in Computational Methods for Materials Science. Prof Payne was its first Director, and Prof Artacho and Drs Monserrat and Rutter contribute to its academic programme.

Its Michaelmas lecture series, which is joint with an MPhil course in Scientific Computing, covers many topics of interest to people in TCM: an introduction to Linux, courses on MPI and OpenMP, much on numerical methods, and also courses on electronic structure and atomistic simulations. The CDT's own website contains a full list of courses and descriptions.
